  • A Timothy B. Hayward was a private in the War of 1812. After he died in Waterville Eleanor went to Illinois with the children. Many thanks to Diane Grom - a descendant -  as she did the work on this family with a Dekalb Co. biography and Ann W. Heywood Fay's will which mentioned her brothers Samuel and James.
