- Sidney after college, taught for several years before going to Sauk Center, Minnesota in the early 60's where he traded with the Indians. He moved to Mankato and was one of the original of the firm Brett and Soule. He was then a traveling salesman for a farm machinery company and for a time a manager of Singer Sewing Machine. A Sidney C. Soule is in 1910 census of Mankato, Blue Earth, MN born 1847 Maine. S. C. and Mary E. are in 1900 census of Mankato, MN with children Roy, George, Flora, Genevieve and Kate.They are in 1910 census of Mankato, MN occ. 'carpenter'.
